New Office Benching Systems & Workstations
Office benching just might be the answer to your cubicle woes. Here benching refers not to seating but to a system that links a file storage bench and desk together. What you get is a space-saving option that is highly practical and attractive.
That’s not all, though. You’re left with an L-shaped structure that provides ample storage and an extra seat as well. The side structure can act as a divide between one desk and the next. You can choose to add a privacy screen or not, as you like.
This setup works well in an open-plan office, especially where collaboration is necessary. Staff can easily speak to each other or work alone when needed.
The setup is modular, so you do have some options for changing up the layout. You can opt to have the filing cabinet as a free-standing feature. This configuration is a good choice if you have your own office and a little space to arrange your new office benching.
You can opt to stick to the typical L-shape but have the cabinet on the left- or right-hand side of the desk as you prefer. This option is useful when you have a pair of staff members working together. You can even create an open space between them, with the filing cabinets on the outer edges.
Of course, if you have a larger staff contingent, and you want to optimize space, this is a great design. Simply line the desks up in rows. The filing cabinets will provide all the separation that you need, as well as an additional work surface.
